The Power Acoustik woofer is what you might call a beginner competition subwoofer.  It’s relatively low on price compared to others in this category, but at the same time is actually pretty good quality.

There are a lot of good reviews talking about how people are surprised by just how hard these subwoofers hit.

With the MOFO you’ll be getting 2700 watts max power with 1350 watts RMS.  Again, it’s not the greatest but pretty decent for the price you’ll be getting them for.

Competition Grade VS Standard Subwoofers

Car subwoofers come in various designs, sizes, and shapes. It can be an overwhelming experience to pick up the right subwoofer for your vehicle, but what’s the difference between standard subwoofers and competion subwoofers?

Well, they are more or less the same.

However, unlike regular subs, competition subs are designed from the ground up to be able to handle high power/wattage and produce more impactful booming bass. They’re much bigger and much heavier, which makes them best suited for audiophiles who want to be heard miles away. Additionally, competition subs are very pricey.

While you can get a regular subwoofer for under $200, sometimes even less, competition grade subwoofer are priced at over $500, easily.
